Broad bean pesto is an ancient sauce from western Liguria of maritime origins, very delicate and spring-like, it goes very well with fish and grilled meat, but can also be enjoyed on its own as a condiment for pasta and rice. Also worth trying in minestrone soups, soups and vegetable casseroles.
