It is the most simple sauce of Ligurian rural tradition, made with simple ingredients (tomato, garlic and oil) but very popular because of its simplicity and genuineness. This feature is of great versatility in accompanying first courses of pasta, better if of particular form as our lilies or mandilli, able to capture and hold the sauce.
